About Cali
Cali Bird is a qualified life coach having trained at Achievement Specialists with Curly Martin (who was recently featured in The Observer as being one of Britain's top ten coaches). Cali specialises in excavating long lost goals, aspirations and ambitions and then works with her clients to find a realistic pathway towards these dreams that can be executed alongside their current professional situation. She recognises from her own experiences that it is often a deep seated sense of fear that stops people from leading the life they really want to lead and directs much of her work to helping her clients overcome such barriers and inner resistance.
Cali grew up in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Attracted to the bright lights of the big city, she moved to London at the age of twenty one and now lives and works in Central London. Cali passionately believes that one doesn't have to accept second best in one's life and that it is possible to lead the life you want to lead. To this end she has transformed her life from a being a reluctant chartered accountant to one combining both business and creative ventures.
As a result of studying music at university in the USA, at the age of nineteen Cali was already comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation. Both in the USA and the UK she worked as a group leader for orientation programs for newly arrived overseas students. Upon her return to the UK she gave talks on the differences between the British and American education systems.
After qualifying as a chartered accountant, Cali's career moved to Investment Banking. In the mid 1990s she worked as a freelance training consultant within this sector and taught everything from spreadsheets to Human Resource Process Management at various locations across the globe including New York, Zurich, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and Singapore.
In the late 1990s Cali worked internationally as an IT professional. Although she was earning "more money than God" and enjoyed living the high life, deep down she felt bored and unfulfilled. Thankfully she came across someone who encouraged her to start writing. There began a creative journey which saw her working part-time as an IT consultant whilst writing a novel called "Tales of the Countess".
Over the years Cali has attended many personal development seminars and counts Jim Rohn and Nick Williams as her mentors. She has now realised her dream to follow in their footsteps and has given numerous inspirational talks on life purpose, overcoming fear and having the courage to live to one's fullest potential. She is also a regular contributor to the Art of Living magazine and has written on a variety of topics including the causes of war, the importance of gratitude and the benefit of perseverance.
Cali is available for face to face coaching near Bishopsgate in London and also works with many of her clients by telephone.
